Doctor’s Journal

Delete your Doctor’s Journal account

How to delete your account and the data that goes with it.

In the app

  • Open Doctor’s Journal and go to Settings → Security.
  • Tap Delete Account & Data and follow the steps. You can export your records first.

By email

If you can no longer use the app, email dj-admin@mahanga.co.nz from the email address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in account (name, email address and account ID).
  • Your AI usage count, subscription status record and AI request records held on our servers.
  • Any temporary recording files still waiting for transcription.
  • The app activity records (screens, buttons, sessions and daily counts) held for Māhanga Technologies Limited.
  • When you delete in the app, all records, recordings and documents stored on that phone.

What you delete yourself

  • Backups: your encrypted backups are in your own iCloud or Google Drive account, which we cannot access. Delete them there if you want them gone.
  • Subscription: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play. Purchase records are kept by Apple or Google under their own policies.

See the Privacy Policy for more detail.
