Common questions

How do I get my dives from my dive computer?

Choose Download from Dive Computer. DC Log connects to Bluetooth dive computers such as Shearwater, and on the Mac to USB cable computers such as the Mares Smart.

Can I bring my logbook from another app?

Yes: Import Logbook reads MacDive (XML and CSV), UDDF, Subsurface, and Garmin Descent or Suunto dive files (FIT).

How do my iPhone and Mac stay the same?

Sign in to the same iCloud account on both. DC Log syncs through iCloud by itself; check Settings → Sync.

How does Dive Watch work?

Before a dive, set your site and the time you will be back, and choose emergency contacts. If you have not ended the dive by then, DC Log texts your contacts from your iPhone. Dive Watch is not an emergency service: see our terms.

How do I print my logbook?

Choose Logbook as PDF in Settings on iPhone, or File → Export Logbook as PDF on the Mac.
