Delete your account
You can delete your Elect NZ account and its data at any time.
In the app: open Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
On the website: sign in, and this page lets you delete your account.
Sign in to delete your accountCan't sign in? Email [email protected] from the email address on your account and we'll delete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in, and your profile (name, email, mobile, address)
- Your question and answer history, usage records and live voice records
- Your feedback, voice-note transcripts, photos and reported answers
- Your notifications and your place in any team
- Your licensing-report record, if you agreed to share it
What is kept
- Apple, Google and Stripe keep their own records of any purchases, under their own rules.
- We keep a note that an account was deleted and when, without your name, email or any other details, so we can answer support questions.
- Totals that don't identify anyone (for example, the number of searches on a day).
Subscriptions
- Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it first in your Apple or Google account, or you will keep being charged.
- A subscription bought on the Elect NZ website is cancelled straight away when you delete your account.
- If you run a team, cancel the team plan on the website first (Settings → Manage Subscription), or email us to hand the team to someone else.
